Accessibility

What is digital accessibility?

An accessible website is one that allows people with a disability to access its content and features without difficulty.
For example, an accessible website allows:

  • Navigation with speech synthesis and/or a braille display (used in particular by people with a full or partial visual impairment.)
  • Customisation of the website display according to personal needs (enlarging or shrinking of characters, modification of colours, etc.)
  • Navigation without use of the mouse (using only the keyboard, with a touchscreen, voice commands or any other appropriate device).

In doing so, the website must comply with the standards in force when it is created and updated.

Accessibility statement

Edenred is committed to making the website https://www.edenred.lu accessible in accordance with the Luxembourg Act of 8 March 2023 on accessibility requirements of products and services, transposing the directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and Council.
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.edenred.lu.

Compliance status

The website https://www.edenred.lu partially complies with the European standard EN 301 549 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. The non-conformities are listed below.

Accessibility features

The website edenred.lu includes features which aim to ensure increased accessibility to all users, including people with a disability. These features are designed to improve flexibility and compatibility with assistance technologies.

The main accessibility features are as follows:

  • Readability when zoomed: The text size can be increased via the browser settings without affecting the layout.
  • Forms: Input fields have labels and instructions where necessary. Error messages are displayed clearly when available.
  • Sufficient colour contrast: The contrast between the text and background respects the minimum recommended ratios in order to ensure readability.
  • Focus indicator: Interactive elements have a clear focus indicator to help users navigating with a keyboard.
  • Language declaration: The language of each page is correctly set in the HTML code in order to help screen readers pronounce the words correctly.
  • Multimedia: The videos are subtitled or transcribed.
  • Mobile accessibility: The site is responsive and designed to be accessible on mobile devices and tablets.

Inaccessible content

List of non-compliant criteria:

  • Keyboard navigation: Not all essential features can be accessed using a keyboard.
  • Screen reader compatibility: The website uses semantic HTML but also all ARIA roles to ensure compatibility with the most common screen readers, such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.
  • Clear structure: Not all content is organised using semantic headings and ARIA roles for easy navigation.
  • File weight in the library: Files in our library do not display file size.

Improvement plans

Ongoing action

  • Progressive correction of medium and low non-conformities, based on a plan of priorities taking into account user impact and regulatory requirements.
  • Implementation of regular accessibility audits, conducted by internal and/or internal experts, in order to measure the conformity level, identify regressions and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Organisation of a training and awareness session on digital accessibility for developers and product managers, covering good practice, WCAG standards and their concrete implementation.
  • Implementation of a governance dedicated to accessibility, based on a common design system for the development teams and the resolution of problems using our internal ticketing tools.

Planned improvements

  • Between October 2025 and February 2026: Progressive action on non-compliant elements in order to respect the rules laid down in WCAG 2.1 level AA.

Our objective is to guarantee that no user is prevented from accessing essential features and content for accessibility reasons, and that all new developments incorporate accessibility requirements by design.
